Brices Crossing

Abstract

Brices Crossing is a single family residential community which began construction in 2005.  This project consists of 200 lots, several open and community area for recreation, perimeter berming and fencing for aesthetics and privacy, and sidewalks for walking throughout.

Stormwater Design

Stormwater from this project is transported by a combination of curb and gutter systems and grassed swales.  All stormwater for the project travels through one of the two wet detention basins constructed on the site.

Wastewater Design

Natural topography allowed for gravity sewers to be used to transport all of the wastewater from lots on this subdivision to one duplex sewer pump station, isolated from lots towards the back of the project.  Over 10,000 linear feet of gravity main transport the onsite wastewater to the pump station, while over 2,000 linear feet of force main transport wastewater offsite.

Water Design

Over 10,000 linear feet of water lines were designed and constructed to accommodate the lots of Brices Crossing.  An existing municipality water line was tapped in one location on Old Airport Road while valving was arranged to accommodate project phasing.
