John G. Thomas, PE
Owner, Principal Engineer
John has always called New Bern home. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and opened the doors of Thomas Engineering in 1983. The company has been going strong ever since.

Bobby Billingsley, PE
Project Engineer
Bobby grew up in and around New Bern, NC. He proudly attended North Carolina State University where he obtained a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He joined Thomas Engineering in 2006 and has been a Professional Engineer since 2007. Responsibilities at Thomas Engineering include project engineering, report and plan production, project inspection, project administration, and web development.
Josh Paulan
CAD Designer
Josh is originally from Indiana and joined Thomas Engineering in 2003. He has experience in the fields of architecture and engineering drafting support. Responsibilities at Thomas Engineering include conceptual planning, meeting with municipalities for ordinance and technical compliance, producing engineering documents, presentation drafting, and final plan preparations.
